Postmodern Book Cover

A redesigned book cover made in a postmodern style for Joseph Heller’s novel Catch 22. When designing the book cover I wanted to illustrate themes of the book while also showing a scene from the book that does not act as a spoiler. Some design elements I like about this are the puppet strings over the character’s plane to represent his struggle for individualism and free will while participating in the war. I also incorporated him into the ‘22’ showing him turning around during the bombing of the bridge.
